Want to be at the heart of an innovative healthcare system and local community?
NHS Blackpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for planning and buying a range of healthcare services for local residents, including primary care and general practice services.
The CCG works very closely with local GP practices to ensure that primary care continues to be a strong and pivotal part of theBlackpool and wider Fylde coast healthcare system.
As a result of sustained investment and support for primary care over many years, the standard of GP services across the town far exceeds many comparable areas with impressive CQC ratings across the board.

Our development and implementation of new care models for complex and frail patients also mean that precious GP time and expert skills are prioritised correctly.
Living on the Flyde Coast
Blackpool and the Fylde Coast has a great number of local attractions for everyone, from family days out, tranquile locations to an extraordinary nightlife.
We also have excellent local connections and you will be happy walking in the beautiful scenic lake district or shopping in the boutique shops of Manchester.
Our neighbourhoods
Within Blackpool, GP practices and community services have come together to form six multidisciplinary, integrated neighbourhoods. Each neighbourhood benefits from a wide clinical skill mix, including nurses, mental health therapists, physios, occupational therapists, health care assistants, wellbeing workers and social workers. These integrated teams work alongside local practices within their area to provide coordinated and dedicated support to frail and complex patients.
These neighbourhoods are pivotal to the delivery of the Fylde coast health and care systems vision for out-of- hospital services.
