At the front door of Children’s Service’s we are seeking a Senior social worker within one of our Assessment and Support Teams, to cover maternity leave for approximately 8 months. 

Assessment and Support Team 2 is a well-established team, and you will work alongside the Team Manager and another experienced Senior Social Worker. 

The expectations are: 

1.     You are an experienced H2 social worker,  who has the ability to support the most complex families, such as public law.
2.     You have the ability to present complex information to legal gateway meeting, and when necessary support others to do so. 
3.     You have the ability to provide direction to less experienced social workers, including a daily drop in clinic, reflective conversations, and on some occasions may be asked to chair strategy meeting. 
4.    You have the ability to use the current data such as reports manager to support the team with compliance. 
5.    You will be expected to undertake practice observations with ASYE’s and complete any appropriate reports following these. 
6.    You will be expected to be proactive in seeking out new areas of research in order to ensure that children and families receive the right service.   
7.    You will be expected to take part in auditing any areas of focus, such as re-referrals and share any learning within the team or wider across the service.
