An exciting opportunity has arisen within Blackpool for the position of Team Manager in Connected Care and SGO Support. This post sits within the Supporting Our Children Service alongside the Fostering and Adoption Teams. This is a well-established, bespoke, and very successful team; new opportunities in this area are rare.
As a Team Manager you will oversee the quality assurance of the Initial Viability and the Dual Assessments, considering outcomes of Special Guardianship Orders or Connected Care Fostering, in respect of the wider family and friends of children in need of a plan of permanence. You will also consider requests for Regulations 24 and 25 and oversee the Special Guardianship Support offer. You will work alongside the wider partnership to consider ongoing and continued support needs for the families within the community who have children and young people in their care under Special Guardianship. The team consists of experienced Social Workers and Support Workers who are all permanent members of staff. They undertake the assessments and support offer within the service. You will be expected to offer regular direction, supervision and support to the team. There are also regional forums to assist development and support uniting all kinship services across the North West local authorities and have peer support within your leadership team.
You will receive regular support and supervision in a reflective space. You will embark on your own development journey with the use of an extensive training program from our bespoke Leadership Academy so are supported to progress your development, career and learning.
